"As Tough As Steel"

"As Tough As Steel"

What comes to your mind when it comes to Luminox's watch cases? We are pretty sure CARBONOX™ is the first thing that goes to your minds. Besides being durable and lightweight, it is extremely comfortable to wear, shock, scratch resistant, and resistant to temperate changes. To add on, it also has a very strong chemical resistance and it ‘s non-metallic, anti-allergenic, and anti-magnetic.

However, Luminox also see the demand for stainless steel watch cases! After being overshadowed by Luminox's CARBONOX™ watch cases, let us share with you three of our collections that are as tough as steel! The three collections, which have stainless steel watch cases, from each of our series, Sea, Air and Land.

1. SEA: NAVY SEAL STEEL 3250 SERIES

As mentioned from our previous post, the Navy SEAL Steel 3250 Series definitely is one of popular collection that consist of stainless steel case! Inspired by Navy SEAL 3500 series, it has the iconic Luminox ‘turtle-shaped’ case, with raised numbers and indices on the dial, and alternating brushed and high polish stainless steel accents on the case and bezel. Its unidirectional ratcheting bezel and Sapphire Crystal with anti-reflective coating protect the dial. This collection has a screw-down crown and case back to ensure water resistance to 200 meters and is available on a solid-link stainless steel bracelet, black genuine leather band or gray webbing strap. This is definitely a change from the usual CARBONOX™ Navy SEAL watches!

2. AIR: P-38 LIGHTNING 9400 SERIES

The P-38 Lightning timepieces are the first vintage-inspired models in the Luminox collection. The fighter plane had a unique and compelling design and the watches pay homage to this industrial pre-war design with their cushion shaped stainless steel case, and dial font pulled directly from the instruments in the plane cockpit. The reason why this collection is being highlighted is because there are 4 different models in this collections, each having different functionality from one another, such as GMT, Chrono, Automatic and Automatic with Chrono. Thus, providing a variety for everyone to choose from!

3. LAND: ATACAMA FIELD DAY DATE 1920 SERIES

The Luminox Atacama Field Day Date watches are named after the Chilean Atacama region, one of the driest areas in the world. The look and feel of the series was conceived to reflect the feeling and flavour of this region. Wearing the Luminox Atacama Field watch evokes the blistering heat, bitter cold and choking sandstorms of the Atacama desert. With its numerous colored dials and straps, it allows anyone to find their desired stainless steel timepiece.
