We’ve finally come to the end of the outdoor survival tips! This last part teaches us how we can create signals to reach out to rescuers and let us know where we are. There are various methods available; creating smoke from a fire, using a mirror or reflective object to produce a light signal, or to use Morse code to bring our messages across. For the 3rd instalment, the Bear Gryll Survival Academy shows us how we can use the natural elements, specifically mud, to protect ourselves from the harsh environments of the outdoors. Mud protects us from the sun, to prevent sun burns, and from insect bites. Prevention of such irritants will help us to conserve energy and use that same energy to travel to the rescue destination instead.
