Luminox’s Newest Addition to Atacama Field Collection

Luminox’s Newest Addition to Atacama Field Collection

Under the LAND collection, the Luminox field watches are used and endorsed by land-based law enforcement groups such as the CIA, FBI, New York Police Department (NYPD), LA Police Department and LA Fire Brigade. This collection is named after the Atacama Desert, one of the most extreme stretches of land on the planet that is known for its dry terrain and made for field missions in the harsh conditions of the desert. The new Atacama Field Automatic 1900 series is designed with extreme adventure in mind but is also perfect for every day wear.

The Atacama Field Automatic 1900 series is inspired by the vintage design of field watches created during the World War 2. The timepieces spot a very clean design that makes it easily legible and features a dial with 24-hour marking and Day-Date indicator at the 3 o’clock marker. For 1901 and 1902, they have a black dial with orange second hand while 1907.NF, it has a white dial with orange second hand which adds a retro touch to the watch bringing it back to the heritage of the military field watch used back in the day. The sleek and clean look also makes the collection suitable for any attire. Three different straps are used - leather, stainless steel and webbing, which provides more options for consumers. Differentiating itself from the other Atacama Field Series, this collection uses an Automatic movement. The case size is 44mm and retains Luminox’s signature 24/7 glow of the Luminox Light Technology (LLT) in the dark for constant timekeeping accuracy in the pitch dark of the desert night. The collection also features Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating that gives the final finishing touch.
